"Owls, Owls"

These Cute Owl Placemats were made specifically for our Motor home. I found this pattern at a local quilt shop and couldn't resist making them.

Naturally, I had to make one owl a boy and the other a girl!

Check out the detail around the eyes, never really appliqued before but I think I got the sewing in pretty straight!

Making Cards is always fun!

I had a free afternoon so I decided to spend some time in my home studio and came up with a few cards.

Best way to spend an afternoon!

A peek at my latest project!

My husband Rich is a master woodworker, so I asked him to whip me up some wooden crosses for me to bling up with some glass beads, here is what we came up with. They are so cute and so much fun to make (at least my part is which is putting the beads on them).

Love Them!

Christmas Pretties from the Texas Bluebonnets!

I must have been on the nice list this year because Beth and Barbara("The Texas Blue Bonnets") sent me the cutest Christmas gifts. Barbara made me Christmas Tree Napkins which are truly lovely and Beth made me this adorable Corn-on-the-Cob Cooker for the Microwave. Thanks girls, I love them both!

a Fascination with Fascinators

So Last week, one of the Kathy's wore a fascinator to our yarn group (the Flock), well it was sooooo cute, we decided we all needed one to wear for New Years, we were all assigned an ingredient to bring and the results were amazing! not a bad one in the bunch. In this pic our little flock works feverishly to get the best ribbon, flowers and feathers available and when Kathy couldn't find a cute feather for her fascinator she just solved the problem by taking her best friend Kathy's feathers. How resourceful is she? Go Kathy!

Here are the Finished Fascinators, Yay! were ready for New Years!

One in the Flock is Kinda Kranky!

and some are so Angelic !

Pink Posey!

Just sitting around watching Christmas Movies with my honey and I made this little cutie!

Maybe I'll wear it in my hair for Valentines Day!

Bag em and Tag em!

I made these gift tags from fabric I got at my favorite quilt-shop, "Fat Quarters" in Vista. I stamped the fabric with a Mason Jar stamp using StazOn Ink, I next put a layer of light batting then ended it with white fabric then sewed around the jar making sure to insert ribbon for the hanger, then I stamped a little something in the jar and embellished all with stickles. They are too cute!

From me to You!

"Warm ears are a Must"

These cute little headbands were made for my niece. She loves wearing them and they look so cute on her too!

"Baby it's cold Outside"

I made these fingerless gloves for my friend Suzie. They fit her nicely and she is also an excellent hand model!

Merry Christmas Girlfriend!

Sunflower Gift Cards

So, as I'm sure you have noticed, I have been posting pictures of the Sunflowers I grew this summer in my back yard on my blog, it turns out that they made perfect subjects for my photo shoots. This year, for the gift giving season, I decided to turn them into cards to give away to family and friends.

I think they're super cool.
