Making Pillowcases!

I finally learned how to make pillowcases, the professional way!

It was really pretty easy once my sis showed me how.

I know I will be making many more of these!
Close up view of my fun fabric choice!

Finally, a Mantle!

So as most people know, my husband is a master woodworker.  He builds beautiful things all the time!
Well watch out everyone, he finally got the time to build us a mantle,  so here is the before...

                                                                                                                        and here is the after.
such attention to Detail!

Blue-ish, Teal must be my new favorite color!!!

because...
Isabel gave me this super cute quilt with colorful elephants on it that she quilted
and...
Esther gave me this super warm chenille blanket she crocheted!!!
they're both my favorite!

Valentines Day Bunco Babes

Dee, Bev, Patty and Heidi (Bunco Babes)
Valentines Day with the Bunco Babes was a blast,  Bev and I made facisinator for all and a very good time was had.
First time ever we took our husbands with us, no way could we leave them behind on Valentines Day, Right?!!!

Valentines Day Bunco Potluck

So, you see this board, and it looks kind of prickly and you wonder what it is, right?

This is a little project I gave my husband Rich, I asked him to design a serving tray for Fruit Kabobs as we were going to a neighborhood Valentines Day gathering that was pot luck and I wanted to bring the fruit and this is what he came up with, cool right?

So then I decided to stamp on the board with red food coloring, all I did was paint food coloring on a rubber stamp with a brush and stamp stamp stamp.  Next I conditioned the wood with some vegetable oil.

After I had the skewers on he board, I decided they would look better with some ribbons at the bottom so, tie tie tie.
and... here is the finished product, a wonderful display of fresh fruit on a stick, at the bottom of each skewer I placed a mini cream puff, it's the perfect thing to have at the end of this delicious fruit!

I know this little kabob display board will be used over and over again.

Love It!

Felted Valentine Necklaces!

My friend Bonnie and I went to Paper Tales (one of my very favorite places to go!) they were having a felted necklace class and we decided to make the day of it and go down there.

We made these fabulous little works of art and I believe there may be many more to come as we are both hooked on felting!

Valerie, our instructor was fabulous, knowledgeable, organized and very patient!

Thanks Valerie!

and, here we are wearing them!

A few more crosses

just wanted to show a few more crosses I made up. I stamped on a few of these with StazOn before I beaded them, they turned out really cute, gives them a different sort of personality, don't ya think?

Valentine Door Decor

"Happy Valentines Day"
I made this from a left-over cabinet door that my husband brought home.  It made a great canvas for all my "Red and Pink Love Pretties".  After I placed everything just so, I attached a chain so that it could hand from our front door. Just making sure all our visitors know just how we feel!     XOXO

Valentine Pins

for all us romantics out there, I have made a handful of crochet Valentine heart pins.
Love making them and Love embellishing them.
Love, Love, Love.

Crochet Pendants

I found some really cool pendants with enough room on the edges to crochet around them, sooooo I did. Came up with these two cuties, one beaded, one not.
They look really cool!

a baby blanket

for an adorable baby boy!!!

Gourd Art, from days gone by...

I did some gourd art awhile back and had not included them on my blog yet, sooooo here are a few of my samples!!!
The idea of gourd art began to appeal to me when we lived out in DeLuz, the home of one of the largest gourd farms around.
